How often do you hear people say, “I need Help”?
“Not as often as they should”, I suggest.
Why don’t we ask for help more often, particularly here in England?
Perhaps we don’t want to bother our Friends, Neighbours, Financial Adviser or the Doctor!
We struggle and get all frustrated; we get stressed and bottle it up… nothing will make us lower our guard and be found wanting for anything. But we do need help, lots of it and more often than we will admit.
The British Stiff Upper Lip has a lot to answer for… illness, debt and death are but a few of the challenges we face. What about a lower level problem caused by the man of the house who just doesn’t want anyone to know that he is …………suffering with hemorrhoids?
Ironically, it’s the great, ‘Working From Home’ lifestyle thats creating the problem… how nice to be home and to put your feet up whenever you fancy; to have a nap whenever you fall, 
face-down onto the keyboard! Truth is, you are fightling the flab and writhing in pain from the hard office chair that is supposed to be good for you!
You are putting on weight and your waist has just hit the dangerous, 40-inch marker that signals the possibility of one, two, three nasty conditions… “OMG, I’m going to die”! “I need Help”
That’s it, you’ve said it at last;
You have asked for help, haven’t you?
… Oh, you were only joking!
So, what will it really take for you to ask for help?
Can you imagine the Doctor doing a lengthy examination, only to JOKE by saying, “You are going to die” Actually, it would be better for you to say “I Need Help” as a joke than to not say it at all – but this whole business of keeping it to yourself is, quite frankly, a joke in itself. So it is all in the mind, a bit of a game – certainly not serious.
Have you got LIFE INSURANCE? Have you made a WILL? These are the questions that keep 
jumping out at me as I page across the Internet and focus for another 16 hours on the next business opportunity that is “unlikely to come to anything”, as they say.
